Strategic Planning Process

Johnson County BusinessesJOCO First Joint Powers Board began a formal strategic planning process initiated by Dave Spencer, Dave Simonsen and Mayor Dyess. The process was facilitated by Laura Lehan with Peak Consulting. Individual meetings were held with the Joint Powers Board Members to gather the initial feedback on the strategic direction of the organization. The themes from those meetings were used as the starting point for the group planning session.

The Strategic Planning Session was held on March 24, 2014 and was 4 hours in length. In attendance: Adam Teten, Chairman; Delbert Eitel, Chair Johnson County Commissioners; Rich  Griffith, Treasurer; Dave Simonsen, ED CEO; Tom Knapp, Mayor of Kaycee; Randy Dyess, Mayor of Buffalo; Dave Spencer, WBC Regional Director; Lynn Barrett, ex oficio member/Buffalo City Planner. Rhoni Stafford attended via phone linkup. Absent were Bob  Snowden and Keith Neustel.

The feedback from these sessions was compiled and a plan was written and then reviewed by the Joint Powers Board of Directors and approved on May 28, 2014.
